01 — Overview

Project overview

This WordPress real estate platform gives a multi-agent brokerage a full public-facing marketplace: searchable property listings pulled from IDX/MLS data, individual agent and agency profile pages, and the buy/sell/rent tools a visitor needs before ever calling an agent. Our team designed the complete site experience, from property search and listing detail through agent directories, agency profiles, and lead-generating tools like home valuation and appointment scheduling, built with a custom WordPress plugin to handle the IDX/MLS data feed.

02 — The Challenge

The challenge

A real estate marketplace has to serve two different audiences on the same site: buyers and renters searching by price, city, and property type, and the agents and agencies who need their own professional presence and lead flow. The site had to surface live MLS/IDX listing data through search and filtering that feels instant, give every agent and agency a credible profile (ratings, certifications, active listings, contact options) rather than a generic bio page, and turn casual browsing into real leads through tools like home valuation and direct appointment booking — all through a custom WordPress plugin rather than a rigid off-the-shelf IDX theme.

03 — The Approach

The approach

  • Built complete front-end and back-end WordPress customization
  • Integrated IDX/MLS data feeds for real-time property listings
  • Developed custom WordPress plugins to extend site functionality
04 — User Journey

How a visitor actually finds a home

A visitor lands on the homepage and searches by keyword, city, and price straight away, or narrows in with a Property Type filter and a For Rent / For Sale toggle. From there:

  • Browse results — listings show as cards with photo, price, bed/bath/sqft, and a status badge (Featured, For Sell), with a running Results Found count.
  • View a listing — full property detail, with the listing tagged by type (Apartment, Development Lot, etc.) and a Recent Viewed list tracking what the visitor has already looked at.
  • Find an agent or agency — a dedicated directory lets visitors search by agency or city, with agency cards showing years in business and total properties listed.
  • Check an agent's credibility — individual agent profiles show a star rating, review count, certifications (including RERA registration in the example on file), languages spoken, active listings, and direct Call / Email / Message actions.
  • Get a valuation or book a visit — a "how much is your home worth" tool and an appointment-booking flow ("schedule multiple visits in one day") turn browsing into a real lead.

Agents and agencies have their own side of the same site: a "Join our Team" path for recruiting new agents, and Sign In / Register access separate from the public buyer/renter experience.

05 — Key Features

What the platform actually does

  • IDX/MLS-driven property search. Keyword, city, price range, property type, and a For Rent/For Sale toggle all filter live listing data pulled through a custom IDX/MLS plugin, not a static property list.
  • Rich listing cards and detail pages. Every property shows price, beds/baths/square footage, and status badges (Featured, For Sell), tagged by type such as Apartment or Development Lot.
  • Agent directory and credibility profiles. Individual agents get a star rating, review count, certifications, languages spoken, and an active-listings count — not just a name and photo.
  • Agency profiles. Agencies get their own page showing years in business and total properties listed, searchable by agency or city.
  • Recent Viewed tracking. The site remembers which listings a visitor has already looked at, surfacing them for easy return.
  • Lead-generation tools. A home-valuation prompt ("how much is your home worth") and multi-visit appointment scheduling turn passive browsing into direct leads for agents.
  • Agent recruitment path. A "Join our Team" flow with separate Sign In / Register access lets the brokerage recruit new agents through the same site.
06 — Platform & Technology

A note on the technical stack

This site was built on WordPress, with a custom-developed plugin handling the IDX/MLS data feed — that's the real, confirmed stack behind it, not a guess from the interface. Beyond that, the functional building blocks verifiable from the site itself are: live-filtered property search (keyword, city, price, type, rent/sale), individual agent and agency profile pages pulling structured data (ratings, certifications, listing counts), a recently-viewed tracking system, a home-valuation lead capture tool, and appointment/visit scheduling. Those are the pieces we can speak to with full confidence, since the WordPress foundation and custom IDX plugin are documented facts of the build, not inferred from screenshots.
